  • We are a diverse and inclusive team. Our members include people with learning support needs, neurodivergent conditions and people in mental health recovery.
  • We meet on Thursdays, but our garden is open to visitors every day of the week.
  • Our site includes a wide variety of layered woodland plants intersected by winding pathways. We are creating and managing ponds, flower beds, soft fruit, top fruit, an edible hedgerow and a wildflower meadow. We are also leaving plenty of untamed areas for the birds, insects and animals.

What is a forest garden?

  • Quite simply – a garden that is designed to look and function like a young woodland.
  • It is a beautiful and environmentally friendly way of growing a huge variety of useful plants.
  • At Fork to fork we grow nuts, fruit, berries, herbs and a variety of edible flowers. We also grow bamboo for canes, willow for weaving and trees for wood.

  • We always welcome well behaved dogs.
  • However, do bear in mind that we are growing edible plants, and are working hard to support our wildlife, so please stay on the paths.
  • At the moment a number of bird species are nesting on or near the ground. It is especially important that we do not disturb them.
  • Please ask your human to keep you on a lead or under very close control.

In the depths of winter, Alex and the team built us a lovely  bird viewing area, complete with bird table.
